GUERRERO STONE FIGURE
Late Preclassic, ca. 300-100 B. C
Possibly an heirloom showing a formative Teotihuacan influence, standing with squared shoulders and hands placed to the abdomen, the rounded head with sunken eyes under thick brows, demarcated lips parted, nostrils and ears pierced, the buttocks carved in relief, the body with sunken depressions possibly once for inlays, in grey-green stone, on reverse a label '252'.
