The XVIth Olympiad was held in Melbourne in 1956 however, due to quarantine restrictions in Australia, the Equestrian events were re-scheduled to take place in Stockholm in June 1956.
"This decision triggered the production of a striking poster by J. Sjosvard, an expert in drawing horses" (Olympic Posters, p.63)
