The sides deeply and finely carved with a continuous landscape of pine trees and rocks, with two scholars standing on a ledge on one side, and two further figures on a higher ledge below the rim on the reverse, the stone of rich dark green color

A small green jade brush pot of similar size (12.2 cm.), carved with two immortals in a landscape scene with pavilions, from the collection of E.J.C. Vint, was sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 3 December 2008, lot 2602, where it was dated to the 18th century.
