Comprising a mantel clock and a pair of tazze in the Egyptian revival style CASE: of architectural form with bust surmount DIAL: cast bronze with ormolu hands MOVEMENT: twin barrels with strike on bell stamped to the reverse 'G S MEDAILLE D'OR 1867', pendulum, winding key, the tazze en suite with ebonised wooden dishes supported by male busts
The clock: 23¾ in. (60.5 cm.) high; 15¾ in. (40 cm.) wide; 7¼ in. (18.5 cm.) deep
The tazze: 10 in. (25.5 cm.) high; 6¼ in. (16 cm.) diameter (3)

Pierre-Eugène-Emile Hebert (French, 1828-1893)

The Parisian bronzier and fondeur G. Servant produced a diverse inventory from his premises at 137, rue Vieille-du-Temple. Specialising in Egyptian and Greek Revival pieces, he was a medallist at the major international exhibitions between 1867 and 1887.
