The arched painted dial with silvered chapter ring, signed Paulus Bramer en soon Amsterdam, matted and engraved center with subsidiary seconds ring, date aperture and sectors for month and day of week, above a recessed painted automaton scene with eight rocking ships in a river view, flanked by Hermes and Neptune, penny moon, the four pillar brass movement with anchor escapement and Dutch strike on two bells; with two large and two small weights, pendulum and crank key
