AN IMPORTANT PAIR OF NATURAL PEARL AND DIAMOND EAR PENDANTS
Each pear and marquise-cut diamond cluster suspending a detachable natural pearl drop measuring 11.8 x 11.9 x 23.0 mm and 10.9 x 11.2 x 23.5 mm, mounted in 18k white gold, 5.2 cm long
Diamond cluster signed VCA, NY for Van Cleef & Arpels, No. 35873
Accompanied by report no. 57950 dated 25 November 2010 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the analysed properties confirm the authenticity of these two saltwater natural pearls; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the pair of saltwater natural pearls possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The described pearls are outstanding. It is not only their impressive size and their similarity in weight, but also the even drop-shaped combined with an attractive white colour and lustre that qualifies this matching pair. The combination of trace elements found in these pearls is characteristics for pearls originating from saltwater molluscs. To find a matching pair of natural pearls of this size, eveness and quality is very rare and the described pearls thus represent a very exceptional treasure
