Vases decorated with this aubergine glaze are extremely rare. An aubergine-glazed rouleau vase bearing a Kangxi six-character mark from the E.T. Hall Collection was sold at Christie's London, 7 June 2004, lot 171. A small group of Qianlong-marked aubergine glazed meiping are also known including one from the Goldschlager Collection sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 30 April 2001, lot 666.
