Of oval form, carved in low relief on one side with a lady figure leaning on a terrace wall under a folded curtain, all recessed within a circular panel, the lower edge carved with two prunus branches that continue onto the other side, the reverse with a lengthy inscription signed, Zigang, both sides surmounted with confronted chilong and pierced for suspension, the stone of a white tone with icy inclusions

The inscription is an extract from Meihua jiushou, 'Nine Poems on Prunus' by the early Ming scholar Gao Qi (1336-1373).

It may be translated as:

The scholar reclines in the mountain capped with snow;
The lady comes from the forest bathed in the moonlight.
