KANGXI UNDERGLAZE-BLUE SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
With rounded sides steeply rising to a slightly everted rim, finely painted to the exterior with two five-clawed dragons striding through clouds and flames in pursuit of 'flaming pearls' above a band of overlapping lotus petals encircling the base, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a further dragon, all decorated in yellow enamel reserved on a deep cobalt blue ground
