Of ruyi form with an angular loop handle and short tapering spout both mounted with jade stones, the main body incised with prunus to one side and calligraphy to the reverse, the cover with a small jade finial, a seal to the interior

The inscription is titled Qing qu, which may be translated as 'The delight of simple pleasures', followed by two poetic lines which may be translated as 'When one appreciates it, the colour appears dark and black; when one uses it for drinking, it brings one auspicious blessings', ending with a two-character signature reading 'You Shan'.
