The gently tapering neck rising from the compressed body, covered with a mauve glaze streaked with purple, thinning to white and pale blue near the mouth, the interior covered with a pale-blue and purple- streaked glaze, the base covered with a straw-colored glaze

A nearly identical flambé-glazed vase of the same height, also bearing an incised Qianlong seal mark, is in the Wang Xing Lou Collection, illustrated in Imperial Perfection: The Palace Porcelain of Three Chinese Emperors - Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, Hong Kong, 2004, pp. 228-9, no. 89. Another similarly shaped vase of identical height, with an incised Qianlong mark, was sold in these rooms, 19 September 2006, lot 370. A slightly smaller example, similarly marked and dated, is illustrated by R.
