Seated on an animal skin over a lotus base holding a damaru and skull cup, dressed in a short dhoti with a sash draped over the shoulders, adorned with beaded jewelry cascading over his bulging belly, the face with prominent features and remains of cold gold, flanked by large jeweled earrings, the curls of hair pulled in to a high chignon and secured with a beaded band

The mahasiddha Damarupa was famous for carrying a double sided hand drum (damaru) and is said to have converted a non-Buddhist king to the religion, thus providing peace and stopping the sacrifice of animals in the kingdom.
