Presented in a stunning octagonal wooden presentation case, wrapped in a plain protective cardboard outer. The name translates as four aces. Pristine appearance
2000 was an exceptional year. Unremarkable at its outset, the weather was slightly warmer and wetter than average in April and May. After flowering at the end of May, wet conditions prevailed almost until July. From the beginning of the second week in July, however, the long, dry, hot spell began that continued through harvest, with some water stress accelerating the ripening in the most well-drained parcels. This was alleviated by some rain in early September, and the grapes were picked very ripe, with high alcohol and low acidity levels, between the 14th and 28th of September.
