Late 19th Century
Comprising a rectangular niello and silver snuff-box with rounded edges, the lid decorated with a troika coach, the base with cartouche enclosing initials AI and inscribed d. 24. Februar 1873, 7.3 cm. wide; a rectangular silver and cloisonné box, 6.7 cm. wide; a rectangular silver and niello snuff-box, the lid engraved with Falconet's equestrian statue of Peter the Great, the base with a city riverside view, mark of Fedor Maximov, assay master possibly Andrey Karsulski, Moscow, 1852, 6.4 cm. wide; and a rectangular silver and niello cigarette case, the lid engraved with a horse carriage, the base with initials HM and scrolls, Moscow, 1895, 9.7 cm. wide
Together with two modern boxes with spurious Faberge marks, comprising a small circular gold-mounted white-glass box, the lid with diamond and sapphire-set crown, the pushpiece with cabochon sapphire and diamonds, 5 cm. diam.; and a shaped gold-mounted green-glass box set with a crown with two rubies and diamonds, 5 cm. wide (6)
