The Italian part of this sale focuses on Piedmont and Tuscany mainly - and within those to regions - Barolo and Barbaresco, and Brunello di Montalcino
The Piedmont selection has an excellent selection of Barolo and Barbaresco from leading producers such as Bruno Giacosa, Roberto Voerzio and Paolo Scavino
The wines from Giacosa are catalogued together - these include 'red-label' Riservas from 2000 and 2004 and a selection of different vintages and vineyards. Buyers should note that the wines catalogued Azienda Agricola Falletto di Bruno Giacosa are from the producer's own vineyards while those catalogued as Bruno Giacosa are from bought in fruit
The Tuscan section contains several vintages of the various wines of Casanova di Neri as well as some outstanding super-Tuscans - Tignanello, Ornellaia and Masseto. Finally, the sale ends with a small range of Amarone including Dal Forno
