拍品专文

The four-character inscription to one side reads 'chang yi zi sun' which may be translated as 'peace and prosperity for all sons and grandsons'. The long inscription to the reverse is a poem praising the various qualities of jade and blessings to future generations.

Such 'chang yi zi sun' plaques were particularly popular during the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods and were known to be given as gifts by the Emperor to his sons and grandsons.
