MARK OF FALIZE, PARIS, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY

Maison Falize was a Paris firm of jewelers and goldsmiths founded in the 1840's. It is entirely possible that this gilt cane was the prototype for the second, whose meticulously applied hardstones make it more of a work of art than a practical object.
