Sugata [configuration]: hira-zukuri with no curvature, mune-hikushi
Kitae [forging pattern]: mokume
Hamon [tempering pattern]: hoso-suguha
Boshi [tip]: ko-maru
Nakago [tang]: suriage with katte-sagari file marks, two mekugi-ana, hira-yamagata
Habaki [collar]: double gold-clad copper
Nagasa [length of blade]: 29cm
Horimono [carving]: with a carving of a sword with bonji above it on the omote and another bonji and gomabashi on the ura

Accompanied by a certificate of registration as a Koshu tokubetsu kicho token (Sword worthy of preserving) no. 1097 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword), dated 1974.2.1
