Each shaped circular with shaped rim, engraved with a coat-of-arms within foliate mantling, each marked on the reverse

The arms are those of Frewen impaling Turner for Thomas Frewen (1687- 1738) of Brickwall and Bonby Hall, Lincolnshire and his wife Martha (1695-1752), only daughter of Henry Turner (1656-1724) of Cold Overton Hall, Leicestershire, whom he married in 1713. (2)

Other pieces engraved with the same arms including a kettle, stand and lamp by Peter Archambo, 1724 and a spoon tray by Robert Cooper descended to Admiral Sir John Frewen and were sold by him 20 April 1972.
