Similar to the U.S. 60x40in. posters, U.S. 40x30in. posters were produced on heavy stock paper to be displayed outside at drive-in cinemas. They were produced in much fewer numbers than U.S. one-sheets and, as they were displayed outside and exposed to the elements, few survived. Please see lots 138 and 181 for other examples.
