MIDDLE KINGDOM, DYNASTY XI-XIII, 2040-1690 B.C.
Depicted standing with the left leg originally advanced, his arms at his sides, wearing a smooth belted kilt with a fringe along the upper edge, and a broad striated wig or headcloth, the eyes lidded, his ears prominent, a hieroglyphic inscription on the back pillar, reading: "A Royal Offering (to) Osiris, Lord of Djedu (Busiris), Great (?)..."
