The coats-of-arms are those of Jean-Georges de Caulet, Marquis de Grammont who married Marie-Louise La Mamie de Clairac. He was born in 1683, son of Guillaume, Président á mortier au Parlement de Toulouse and died in Versailles in 1753.

This form, although fairly common in English and Swiss silver, appears to have been used very rarely in France.
