Still life with daisies, delphiniums and penstemons

Alexander III's youngest child and Tsar Nicholas II's little sister, Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna was born in 1882 when her father was already Tsar. She expressed a talent for drawing and painting at a young age and in later life often sold her works to raise money in aid of the charities she supported. A finely executed and characteristic watercolour, the present lot is a particularly large example of the artist's work.
