Ada K. Longfield notes an example of a woodpecker attributed to Isaac Spackman and probably part of his 1754 set of twelve, while the Chinese painted or golden pheasant was common to both Dixon and Spackman's work (Ada K. Longfield, op. cit., 1980, p.19.).
