For an oval dish from the same service, see Dieter Hoffmeister, Meissener Porzellan des 18. Jahrhunderts, Katalog der Sammlung Hoffmeister, Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg (Hamburg, 1999), Vol. I, pp. 168-169, no. 85, where he notes the similarity of the gilt border to the borders on the 'Queen Marie of Hanover Service' in the Wark Collection (the pieces also bear gilder's 10 marks). The service is illustrated by Mary Campbell Gristina et al., The Wark Collection, Early Meissen Porcelain (Jacksonville, 1984), col. pl. 25 and nos. 157-170.
