ATTRIBUTED TO THE BERLIN PAINTER, CIRCA 470 B.C.
Side A: figure of Dionysos standing frontally, wearing a full-length chiton and himation draped over his left shoulder, holding thyrsos in his left hand, kantharos in his right, his head in profile to the right, hair dressed with a wreath and falling in three strands over right shoulder
Side B: a fleeing maenad, advancing to the right, looking back over right shoulder, hair bound in a fillet tied at the back, her himation falling in thick folds over an ankle-length chiton, holding thyrsos in left hand, oinochoe in right, on a meander groundline
