Benjamin Lewis Vulliamy (178-1854) was the last of the eminent Vulliamy family of clockmakers. Timepieces such as this were made for offices or studies.

CASE: with acroteria corners to architectural pediment, front door with raised fielded panel mouldings, on block feet DIAL: 4¼ in. diameter engraved and silvered dial signed 'VULLIAMY,/LONDON.', blued steel hands MOVEMENT: single gut fusee with four tapering pillars and half dead beat anchor escapement; replaced pendulum holdfast, roller-suspended pendulum
