The Infernot label was used by Gaja winery until the '70's to identify a part of the Barbaresco production, in the best vintages, that was aged for longer.
The 'Infernot' was a Piedmontese word used to define the underground spaces created near the cellar without natural light or direct ventilation. It was used, in the past, as a natural refrigerator in which foods and the most precious bottles were kept
