Of serpentine rectangular form, the top with models of quail flanking a taper-stick holder, the cover finial as a Chinoiserie figure in a blue kimono enriched in gilt reclining, his right elbow on a book, the hand supporting his head, painted in the petit feu palette, the cover surface and front with landscapes, the back and side with flowers, the interior fitted with two double wells and a double sander, each removable
