From a series of Nativity, Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension wares made after engravings by Dutch artist Jan Luyken published in a 1734 Amsterdam Bible. The subject is rare in famille rose; it was more often made in grisaille and gilt. See an example in the Hodroff Collection published by R.W.
