The arms are those of Graham quartering Montrose for James Graham, 3rd Duke of Montrose (1755-1836). The first five dishes were presumably made to celebrate his first marriage to Lady Jemima Elizabeth, daughter of John Ashburnham, 2nd Earl of Ashburnham in 1785. The sixth dish was presumably made to celebrate his second marriage to Lady Caroline Maria, daughter of George Montagu, 4th Duke of Manchester, whom he married in 1790. (6)
