After the original by Antoine Pesne ((Paris 1683 - 1757 Berlin) in Schloss Charlottenburg, Berlin.

Countess Sophie Marie von Voß was born as Sophie Wilhelmine Charlotte Marie von Pannwitz (Schönfließ 1729 - 1814 Berlin). At the age of 14 she arrived at the Prussian court and became the lady in waiting of the wife of King Friedrich Wilhelm I, Queen Sophie Dorothea. The King's brother, Prince August Wilhelm, was very much in love with the Countess, but was unable to marry her due to political predicaments. When she married Count Johann Ernst von Voß in 1751 the Prince insisted on attending the marriage, but fainted during the ceremony. Countess von Voß stayed at the Prussian court for most of her life, with a total of 69 years attending the several royal families.
