A BYZANTINE GOLD AND GLASS CROSS
CIRCA 5TH-7TH CENTURY A.D.
The hollow tubular arms tapering toward the center, the flat ends folded over flat disks, centered by a collar set cabochon glass, a ribbed suspension loop above; hanging on an ancient-style gold chain together with a Late Roman gold openwork pendant formed of loops of beaded wire, granules at the end, a ribbed suspension loop with a granule on each end above
