The basin of shaped circular form on spreading foot, chased with panels of acanthus and rocaille enclosing flowers, the border elaborately applied with scrolls and shells interrupted by four female masks, the ewer of baluster shape on spreading foot applied with female masks, the body decorated similarly to the basin, the elaborate scroll handle chased with acanthus and headed by the reclining figure of a naiad, marked on basin and body of ewer -- the ewer 36 cm (14¼ in) high, the basin 41 cm (16 in) diam.
