AN IMPORTANT DIAMOND RING
Set with a rectangular-shaped diamond weighing 17.65 carats, flanked on either side by a tapered baguette-cut diamond, mounted in platinum, ring size 5½

Accompanied by report no. 16776026 dated 9 January 2008 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the 17.65 carat diamond is F colour, VS2 clarity; with a supplemental letter from the Gemological Institute of America stating the 17.65 carat diamond has been determined to be a type IIa. Type IIa diamonds are the most chemically pure type of diamond and often have exceptional optical transparency. Type IIa diamonds were first identified as originating from India (particularly from the Golconda region) but have since been recovered in all major diamond-producing regions of the world. Among famous gem diamonds, the 530.20 carat Cullinan and the 105.60 carat Koh-i-noor, are examples of Type IIa

Report no. 0803044 dated 10 March 2008 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the 17.65 carat diamond is D colour, VS2 clarity

Report no. 08007716001 dated 1 April 2008 from the HRD Diamond High Council stating that the 17.65 carat diamond is exceptional white + (D) colour, VS2 clarity
