Oblong and on four dolphin feet, the sides and cover with applied Celtic motifs, the front enamelled with the arms of the City of Glasgow, one side applied with a boss depicting the Scottish lion and the other with St. Andrew, the cover engraved with the Royal arms with a label for difference within the Garter motto, with Royal duke's coronet above, the interior wood-fitted and with two silver-gilt mounted bottles, mark of Richard Comyns, London, 1926, the cover with supports for envelops, marked underneath and inside cover
