MARK OF HENRY AND HENRY LIAS, LONDON, 1870
The blade engraved on the front with a later coat-of-arms, with a zig-zag border, the back engraved with a later inscription, with a carved ivory handle, marked on back, in a fitted mahogany case
14¼ in. (36 cm.) long
The arms are those of Solihull.
The inscription reads 'This Trowel was used by H.R.H. the Duchess of Kent when laying the foundation stone of Solihull Civic Hall on 27th October 1960'.
