The moulded pediment carved with scrolling acanthus decorated with flower heads and centred by a pair of putti, above a gouilloche-carved cresting and a pair of shaped doors decorated with Chinoiserie scenes and exotic birds and enclosing an interior fitted with shaped drawers with edges decorated in simulation of nashiji and arranged around a central cupboard door enclosing two further drawers and a hidden compartment, the reverses of the doors decorated with Chinamen in rocky landscapes, the curved sides decorated with a horse-drawn coach in a rocky landscape with an alligator and a ship in a bay with an elephant in the foreground, the stand with a frieze drawer above eight blackamoor supports clad with palm leaf skirts, on a shaped plinth with turned feet, the feet replaced, the giltwood cresting associated
