Each decorated with an elaborate scene, one depicting a New Year's festival, with a procession of lion dancers, musicians, and actors performing scenes on platforms carried on poles, the other depicting another procession with a long dragon raised on poles preceded by musicians and various figures, in the background of each panel is a lake filled with boats and islands dotted with pagodas and pavilions, all in painted ivory and bone, gilt and silver metal and kingfisher feather on a painted ground; within embellished wood frames
