Preparatory drawings for a pair of etchings, impressions of which are in the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris (Y. Sjöberg and F. Gardey, Bibliothèque Nationale Département des Estampes: Inventaire du Fonds Français: Graveurs du XVIIe siècle, XIV, Paris, 1977, pp. 36-7; see also volume XII, Paris, 1973, p. 144 for an old, incorrect attribution of these prints to Louis Jolivet). Charles-Joseph Le Jolivet served as architect and engineer to the Etats de Bourgogne and his rare drawings and engravings are all linked to this activity.
