Davies, a serious, stubborn and steady figure in the story of British photography, is committed to a traditional technique and to the long-term exploration of a core theme -- that of the landscape and the often uneasy relationship of the natural with the man-made. His vistas are thoughtfully composed, often from a high vantage point, and filled with detail. His study of Agecroft Power Station is arguably his best known image, already identified as emblematic in the major 1989 Royal Academy exhibition The Art of Photography.

AP2 aside from the sold-out edition of 25.
