Voir Neich, R., Carved Histories, Auckland, 2001, pp.59 et 239, fig.15.19 pour des pagaies et des bols couverts similaires attribués au même artiste. Anaha Te Rahui était un chef et un sculpteur Maori réputé. Charles Goldie peignit son portrait en 1908.
