The back centered by a pierced knop cast as a crouching lion surrounded by a lion, a phoenix, a qilin and a crane in flight amidst clouds, each ridden by a Daoist immortal wearing windswept robes and celestial scarves, all in a recessed field below insects and flower sprigs alternating on the lobed rim within the raised outer border, the silvery reverse with extensive ferrous encrustation
