Tasting Note: It encapsulated the vintage, at least as far as the Médocs are concerned. Showing well on its tenth birthday 'soft, gentle fragrant; good fruit, flavour, texture. Just five notes since. Dry, lean, very drinkable in March 1994, identical note a couple of years later at a BYOB dinner in New York- needed food, which happily was provided. And at two pre-sale tastings, the first in London: mature, open appearance; fully developed nose, cedary, fragrant; nice weight, crisp, delicious flavour. And four months later its dryness and leanness noted. **** M.B.
