Sugata [configuration]: shobu zukuri, high shinogi, shallow curve
Kitae [forging pattern]: hada fine ko-itame, jinie overall Hamon [tempering pattern]: suguha cho of nioi with ko-nie and some kinsuji
Boshi [tip]: yakitsume with kaen
Horimono [carvings]: sashi omote a single narrow groove on the hiraji extending two thirds along the blade; sashi ura a similar narrow groove and a deep naginata koshibi on the shinogi-ji
Nakago [tang]: Suriage, four mekugi-ana, three of which plugged with lead, orikaeshi-mei Kunitsugu,'Kuni' on sashi-ura, original file marks indistinct
Habaki [collar]: single copper-gilt
