A two-handled porcelain vase
England, 19th Century
The inverted bell-shaped vase on square sockle, gilt and decorated with a white ground floral motif around the base, a painted foliate border to the circular foot and calyx, each side of the body printed and painted with a scene, one side with images of 'Ural Cossacks with their Ataman D.M. Borodin', after Hess, the other of 'Returning thanks to Almighty God', the scroll handles with mask terminals, apparently unmarked

The reverse depicts 'Returning thanks to Almighty God' after the Battle at Leipzig 1813.
