With wooden body retaining much of its original velvet covering (worn, red faded to russet), mounted in gilt-bronze, the back and top cast in low relief, the former decorated with guilloche borders, the latter decorated with monster-head scrollwork and the nozzle fitted with cut-off lever moving on an internal spring, the outer panel decorated with The Judgement of Paris pierced and in high relief, with pierced gilt-bronze belt hook (loose, one screw missing), and four small rings at the sides
