A Nishapur clear glazed conical pottery pouring vessel, North East Iran, 12th Century
with rounded base on vertical foot, one side pierced with a rising and everted tubular spout, the other with a small ring handle surmounted by a triangular flange, the exterior of the body with a band of lightly incised meandering vine under the glaze, occasionally enhanced with light cobalt-blue splashes, repaired breaks, one small restoration to rim - 7¼in. (18.5cm.) diam.
