A PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE 'SCHOLAR AND EMBLEMS' HEART-SHAPED RUYI DISHES, each shaped after the stylised fruit of lingzhi fungus, the centre finely painted with a lakescape depicting an elaborate pavilion on a promontory beside twinned pine and deciduous trees above a scholar crossing a single-arched bridge towards a second pavilion below dwellings on a smaller island in the distance, the borders with cartouches of ribboned emblems, circa 1816
