Of ribbed tapering pannier form, the exterior painted after Watteau with figures in fine brightly coloured clothes, at various pursuits in wooded parklands painted en grisaille, the urns, pedestals and distance on the cover all enriched in subdued pale colours, the base with scrolls and husks about a central flowerhead, the interior of the cover stippled and painted with a lady holding a mask and with her hand resting on the shoulder of a child in the guise of Harlequin (exterior with slight scratches, minute wear, area of wear to gilt interior)
